Am I in China?

I’m trying not to freak out and be really, really scared, but Barack Obama officially has his own television channel????

!!!!!

I noticed it two nights ago. I have satellite television, and channel 73 is the “OBAMA” channel, running 24-hour loops of various informative programs on Obama.

Moreover, last night a commercial promoting Obama’s policies, so rudly interrupted my normal programming. A little black oval popped up at the top of the screen instructing “Press select on your remote control to learn more.”

I pressed select. Sure enough, it took me right to that channel 73 so I could learn all about the Messiah.

Shit.

Shit.

Shit.

Thanfully, a couple of others like the brilliant Michelle Markin are talking about it and letting people freak out on their sites. The mainstream media, who apparently can’t carry Obama’s propaganda-ridden message to the masses thouroughly enough, aren’t talking about it at all.

So why does this scare the ever-living crap out of me?

Because last time I checked, countries that allow politicians to independently control media channels have traditionally been called such things as dictatorships, tyrannies, or communist….

AND, WHO HAS THIS KIND OF MONEY!?!?!?!?!?!? Who are the forces funding this man? And, if they have that kind of money, what kind of political interests and agendas do they have, and to what extent are they going to influence Obama if, Dear Good Lord please forbid, he secures the nomination!?!?!?

I’m going to pull the book Propaganda: The Formation of Men’s Attitudes by Jacques Ellul, from my stack of “most important” books I’ve ever read and start pulling from it. I highly recommend you either buy it or check it out from the library so you can realize what’s going on here, and understand why my fears that our democracy is circling the drain only seem to be more and more true…..
