Female in America

Jindal 2012

When Louisianans had the option to choose between Kathleen Blanco (D) and Bobby Jindal (R) in the race for Governor back in 2003 (2004 election year), many enlightened individuals voted fro Blanco because they expressed their preferences for a female over a “foreigner” any day.  (Heard such utterances of brilliance with my own ears when I moved down there in August, 2005, just 15 days before Katrina struck).

Another lesson illustrating how ignorance has longstanding repurcussions.

The good people of the Pelican State righted their wrong, though, when 88% of them voted Jindal into the Gov. position in 2007. I told everyone I could to keep their eyes open for this guy: he was even mentioned as one of the R’s on McCain’s short list, although he recently declined in a rather straightforward manner (although it remains to be seen if any politician can really be completely straightforward…)

But, heads have been rolling in the state ever since he took office in La., as he’s driving fiscal responsibility and common sense home in the Senate. Read all the good news just from earlier this month….

And just wait, there’ll be more to come. I’m thinking a lot more come 2012, when hopefully Jindal will be the one writing up the short list.
